Abu Dhabi, February 11, 2024, The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, led the Kingdom's delegation at the seventh ministerial consultative meeting of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue, convened in Dubai, UAE, on February 10-11.
Bringing together 16 Gulf and Asian nations alongside various international organizations, private sector entities, and civil society representatives, the gathering served as a platform for fostering collaboration between labor-sending and labor-receiving countries in Asia.
Al-Rajhi commended the Kingdom's proactive measures aimed at bolstering cooperation among Asian nations in labor exchange, facilitating the sharing of expertise and best practices to enhance labor market economies, skill development, and adaptation to evolving trends.
Among the agenda items, discussions centered on the vocational accreditation initiative, with a focus on deriving valuable insights to bolster member states' collective efforts in addressing labor market challenges.
During the event, Al-Rajhi held bilateral meetings with Shafiqur Chowdhury, the Bangladeshi State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Sharat Bhandari, the Nepalese Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security. These meetings provided an opportunity to explore avenues for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and mutual learning, while also offering insights into the Kingdom's ongoing endeavors and initiatives aimed at enhancing the labor environment in alignment with the objectives of Vision 2030.
