RIYADH — On Tuesday, Qatari club Al-Sadd acquired Romain Sass, the captain of the Moroccan national team, from Saudi Arabian football club Al-Shabab.
Al-Shabab announced in a formal press release that the seasoned international defender has been acquired on a loan deal, effective through the remainder of the current campaign.
Sass, 33, has played football for a long time. He spent the majority of his time in the French leagues before moving on to Wolverhampton Wanderers in England, then Besiktas in Turkey, and lastly Al-Sadd in Qatar.
Sass has earned an incredible total of 75 caps for his own nation and has played a significant role in helping Morocco advance to the 2022 FIFA World Cup semifinals.
