Riyadh, February 20, 2024, Today, Shura Council Vice Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami convened at the Council's headquarters with a delegation from the United States House of Representatives, led by Representative Andre Carson and accompanied by several officials.
Deputy Al-Sulami extended a warm welcome to the delegation, acknowledging the longstanding and significant historical ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States. He emphasized the pivotal role of parliamentary exchanges between the Shura Council and the U.S. Congress in strengthening bilateral relations, particularly through constructive dialogues on regional and global matters.
In response, Representative Carson affirmed the depth of the relationship between the two nations, highlighting the visit as a testament to the robust ties shared between the Kingdom and the United States. He also lauded the commendable initiatives spearheaded within the Kingdom under the wise leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
