Riyadh, February 21, 2024, Albara bin Bassim Alaskandarani, Vice Minister for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, joined hands with Gulf Research Center Chairman Dr. Abdulaziz bin Othman bin Sager to formalize a memorandum of understanding (MoU), signifying a concerted effort to bolster national development priorities and economic policies while enhancing decision-making processes through the facilitation of methodologies and studies.
The memorandum outlines a comprehensive framework for collaboration between the two entities, spanning research endeavors, publication initiatives, event organization, seminars, and scientific activities pertaining to economic and developmental matters within the Gulf region. Additionally, it delineates plans for the implementation of programs and initiatives geared towards the advancement, fortification, and support of institutional capabilities and capacities, alongside personnel training initiatives.
Furthermore, the MoU mandates the establishment of a joint network comprising expert opinion leaders tasked with providing consultations on pertinent economic issues. It also emphasizes the importance of information and data exchange, particularly in areas aligned with the respective activities and specializations of both parties.
