Algerian President’s Representative to Summit Leaves Riyadh

The visit highlights strong diplomatic ties between Saudi Arabia and Algeria, with both countries committed to enhancing collaboration within the Arab and Islamic communities.
Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, left Riyadh after attending the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit, where he participated in discussions on regional cooperation and key political issues.

Riyadh, November 12, 2024 — The President's representative of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, departed Riyadh today after taking part in the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit. Minister Attaf was in the Saudi capital as part of Algeria's official delegation, participating in high-level discussions aimed at advancing regional cooperation and addressing key political, economic, and security issues affecting the Arab and Islamic world.


Following the summit, Minister Attaf and his delegation were seen off at King Khalid International Airport by Saudi Ambassador to Algeria, Abdullah Al-Busairi, along with several other senior Saudi officials. The farewell ceremony symbolized the strong and ongoing diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Algeria, reinforcing the mutual desire to enhance bilateral ties and support collaborative initiatives within the Arab and Islamic communities.


Minister Attaf’s participation in the summit underscores Algeria’s continued commitment to regional unity and its role in promoting stability and prosperity in the Arab and Islamic worlds.
