Aljadaan and Aljalajel attend G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministers Meeting

Riyadh, August 20, 2023, In a significant display of international cooperation, Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan and Minister of Health Eng. Fahad Aljalajel joined forces yesterday to participate in the highly anticipated G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministers Meeting. The prestigious event, held in the vibrant city of Gandhinagar, India, brought together key decision-makers from around the globe to discuss pressing matters at the intersection of finance and health. Health ministers convened in person, while their counterparts in finance joined the meeting through videoconference. During a recent meeting, government ministers engaged in a comprehensive discussion regarding the most recent advancements in addressing vulnerabilities and potential risks associated with pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response. The focal points of the conversation included enhancing coordination mechanisms between the ministries of finance and health and exploring avenues to bolster their effectiveness.

During their meeting, the officials also had the opportunity to examine a preliminary report regarding the identification of funding gaps pertaining to pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response. Additionally, they discussed the crucial part that the Pandemic Fund played after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia proposed it during its G20 Presidency in the year 2020. In a bid to enhance collaboration between the health and finance ministries of G20 nations, the G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministers Meetings were initiated in 2017 during the German G20 Presidency. The primary objective behind this endeavor was to address the prevailing funding shortfalls and tackle the various obstacles encountered in the global health arena. In a gesture of goodwill and diplomacy, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the esteemed Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed President of the Republic of Hungary, Katalin Novák, on the momentous occasion of her country's National Day. Demonstrating his commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations, the Crown Prince took the initiative to convey his warm wishes through a cable, highlighting the significance of this special day for the Hungarian people.

In a gracious gesture, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince extended his well wishes to the president, expressing hopes for his continued good health and happiness. Additionally, the Crown Prince conveyed his sincere desire for the government and people of Hungary to experience steady progress and prosperity.
