Baghdad, September 13, 2023, Ammar Al-Hakim, the leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, and members of the Saudi-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council met in Baghdad. Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Qannas is in charge of the committee. The leaders talked about measures to fortify connections and the crucial role the parliamentary friendship committee plays in fostering collaboration between the two nations. The delegation also met with Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, the first deputy speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives. During their discussion, the two sides emphasized the close ties between their nations, the significance of enacting the joint friendship committee's mandate, and the necessity of improving parliamentary position coordination at international and regional fora.
The discussions were attended by the chairman and members of the Joint Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Iraqi House of Representatives, as well as Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, the Saudi ambassador to the Republic of Iraq.
