Algiers, March 21, 2025, The General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) officially recognized World Camelids Sport (WCS) during its meeting in Algiers, marking a significant milestone for the sport’s growing influence in Africa and its expanding international presence.


The meeting was attended by WCS President and President of the International Camel Racing Federation, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf, and various leaders from national Olympic committees and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).


Prince Fahd emphasized the importance of global recognition in advancing camel racing both continentally and internationally, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support and showcase the sport globally.
