Vision-Aligned Article:

KSrelief Empowers Women in Yemen

On May 3, 2025, Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), launched a 12-month project to protect and uplift women affected by gender-based violence in Aden and Taiz, Yemen.

In partnership with UN Women and Yemen’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, this effort will directly support 18,000 displaced women and survivors, as well as 325 frontline professionals working in protection centers and safe spaces. The initiative also aims to indirectly impact over 126,000 people through community education.

This integrated program focuses on four goals: strengthening women’s protection, developing staff capacities in case management, expanding psychosocial and legal aid, and conducting awareness campaigns on women’s rights.

Dina Zorba, UN Women’s representative in Yemen, praised Saudi Arabia for this powerful commitment, calling it a forward-thinking effort that promotes peace, recovery, and resilience. This is more than protection—it’s empowerment rooted in dignity, safety, and equity.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 positions the Kingdom as a compassionate leader in global humanitarian work, while championing gender equity and social inclusion both at home and abroad.
