Manama, May 11, 2024: In light of the ongoing Palestinian crisis, Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs at the Arab League Haifa Abu Ghazaleh stressed the significance of the upcoming Arab Summit in Bahrain.
In his remarks at the preparatory meeting, Abu Ghazaleh emphasized how the Israeli aggression has left Gaza in a terrible humanitarian, social, and economic state.
She acknowledged that the Arab nations had helped Gaza, but she emphasized that more assistance was required to lessen the suffering there.
In addition to announcing that the Arab League has created an emergency response plan to deal with the social and economic effects of the aggression, Abu Ghazaleh emphasized the role that social development organizations and the private sector play in promoting social policies that work.
She highlighted a few important subjects on on the agenda of the meeting, which aims to greatly enhance the lives of Arab citizens. These include the Arab Vision 2045 and a proposal for a new social contract.
Abu Ghazaleh conveyed his appreciation to Bahrain for working with the Arab League to arrange the summit.
