Cairo, November 16, 2024 – Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, held a significant meeting today with Naledi Pandor, South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, at the League’s headquarters in Cairo. The discussions focused on pressing regional issues and strategies to strengthen collaboration between the Arab League and South Africa on matters of mutual concern.
Central to the meeting was the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Lebanon, as well as Israeli actions contributing to heightened tensions in these areas. The leaders reviewed efforts to halt the violence, emphasizing the outcomes of the recent Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit.
