Arab Parliament Condemns Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by 2 Israeli Occupation Ministers


The Arab Parliament condemns the invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli ministers and settlers, as well as the denial of admission to Palestinian worshipers.


The Arab Parliament criticizes these actions as a violation of Jerusalem's historical and legal position and international conventions.


The Arab Parliament warns of the dangerous implications for regional peace and stability and calls for international protection for Palestinians and their sacred places.

In addition to condemning the invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by two Israeli occupation ministers and hundreds of extremist settlers accompanied by occupation forces, the Arab Parliament also condemned the fact that Palestinian worshipers were denied admission to the mosque.The pan-Arab legislative body released a statement today criticizing the activity. The statement referred to the behavior as a severe violation of Jerusalem's historical and legal position, as well as a violation of international conventions that forbid such provocative gestures in hallowed sites. It was said by the Arab Parliament, which is based in Cairo, that such actions are a part of Israel's ongoing efforts to alter the Arab and Islamic identity of occupied Jerusalem. The Arab Parliament also issued a warning about the dangerous implications that these actions could have for efforts to build regional peace and stability, as well as to ensure a truce in Gaza.While demanding international protection for the Palestinian people and their sacred places, the Arab Parliament encouraged the international community to take responsibility and exert pressure on Israel's occupation government in order to put an end to these violations.In addition, it advocated for an equal, long-term, and all-encompassing solution to the Palestinian struggle that would guarantee the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital located in east Jerusalem.
