Cairo, February 03, 2024, Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, recently held a meeting with the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Arab League, Muhannad Al-Aklouk. In an official statement released today, the AP highlighted that the discussions between the two parties centered on the latest developments in the State of Palestine, along with ongoing international diplomatic efforts to curb the aggression of the Israeli occupation forces.
According to the statement, Al-Asoumi affirmed the commitment of the Arab Parliament to continue supporting the Palestinian cause in various international forums. He emphasized the organization's unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their pursuit of securing legitimate rights, in accordance with international legitimacy. Foremost among these rights is the establishment of an independent state, with East Jerusalem (Al Quds) designated as its capital.
