Arab Parliament to Elect President, Deputies Next Saturday

Cairo, October 23, 2024 – The General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament announced today the upcoming procedural session that will take place this Saturday, marking the beginning of the first session of the fourth legislative term. This significant event will involve the election of key leadership positions, including the president of the Arab Parliament, deputy presidents, as well as the heads and deputy heads of the permanent committees. These elections are a crucial step in shaping the direction of the Arab Parliament's activities for the coming term.


The session is scheduled to be held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, symbolizing the continued collaboration between Arab nations in addressing pressing regional issues through diplomatic channels.


In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the General Secretariat confirmed that the newly formed Arab Parliament will hold its first official meeting on October 27. During this session, the members will engage in discussions on current regional developments and review the reports prepared by the permanent committees. This agenda reflects the Parliament's commitment to promoting unity and cooperation among Arab countries, as well as addressing political, economic, and security challenges in the region.
