Cairo, December 26, 2023, The Arab Parliament welcomed the UN statement regarding a peace roadmap reached by the Yemeni parties on a set of measures, including a ceasefire, and preparations to resume a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
The Arab Parliament said in a statement on Monday that it hopes these measures would contribute to a political solution to end the Yemeni crisis, underscoring the necessity for all parties to commit to implementing these measures to achieve positive outcomes.
The Arab Parliament commended the unremitting efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman in this regard, reiterating its support for all Arab and international efforts that aim to reach a comprehensive political solution to the crisis, under three agreed-upon references: the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
