ARABOSAI's Institutional Capacity Building Committee Holds 24th Meeting in Jeddah

The meeting featured the General Court of Audit’s initiative for the Arab Auditor Fellowship Program, aimed at developing a skilled network of auditors and promoting professional growth within the Arab auditing community.
The Capacity Building Committee of ARABOSAI held its 24th meeting in Jeddah, focusing on enhancing institutional audit practices and strengthening financial and accounting audit capacities.

Riyadh, November 5, 2024 – Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of Saudi Arabia's Shura Council, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to the Kingdom, Emrullah İşler, during an official meeting held today. The discussions underscored the shared commitment to strengthening the longstanding relationship between Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, with a particular emphasis on fostering closer parliamentary ties.


At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Al Al-Sheikh expressed his warm welcome to Ambassador İşler, elaborating on the pivotal role of the Shura Council in Saudi governance. He highlighted its dual functions in legislative and supervisory domains, describing its contributions to both the development of national policy and the implementation of reforms in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Additionally, he underscored the Council's proactive role in parliamentary diplomacy, which is aimed at enhancing dialogue and collaboration with legislative bodies worldwide.


The meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to review the progress in Saudi-Turkish relations, with an emphasis on parliamentary engagement between the Shura Council and Turkiye's Grand National Assembly. They exchanged insights on avenues for mutual growth and cooperation, focusing on how strengthened parliamentary relations could support broader strategic interests for both nations. The leaders also discussed several topics of common interest, affirming their dedication to reinforcing the diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties that link Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.


This engagement aligns with Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to foster constructive international partnerships, further enhancing regional stability and shared prosperity through focused collaboration at legislative and diplomatic levels.
