The strategic partnership signifies a renewed commitment to innovate together in new mobility solutions both on and off the track
Aramco, a global integrated energy and chemicals company, and the Aston Martin Formula One® Team have announced a substantial extension of their partnership. Effective January 1, 2024, the Silverstone-based team will be officially known as the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team. Moreover, starting in 2026, Aramco plans to deliver cutting-edge technology by providing advanced fuels and lubricants to the team in collaboration with the team’s new works power unit engine partnership with Honda.
Nabeel A. Al-Jama’, Aramco Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services, expressed delight in extending the partnership, stating, “The future for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team is bright, and today’s news reaffirms our long-term commitment to Aston Martin where Aramco’s expertise and technology can contribute to advanced car performance, especially with our development of advanced fuels and lubricants.”
Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team Executive Chairman, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the importance of the partnership and Aramco's significant role in the team's Formula One journey since 2022. Stroll mentioned that they are working on key initiatives, including the development of advanced fuels for 2026 in conjunction with the Honda Works power unit partnership. He noted that Aramco's expertise and products will enhance on-track performance and add significant value across various aspects of the organization.
Beyond the track, Aramco and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team will collaborate on joint science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) initiatives. This collaboration aims to inspire and engage young minds in these fields, nurturing the future generation of technicians, engineers, and drivers.
The extended partnership solidifies the commitment of both Aramco and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team to ongoing collaboration, technological innovation, and contributing to the development of the next generation in STEM-related fields.
