Saudi Arabian oil giant Aramco has recently inked a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with tech titan Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. The agreement outlines initial proposals for a strategic partnership aimed at establishing a localized industrial 5G technology ecosystem within Saudi Arabia. The collaboration is set to commence with the development of private networks in the country.

In a bid to propel the digital revolution in Saudi Arabia's key industrial sectors, including energy, petrochemicals, and manufacturing, a groundbreaking collaboration has been proposed. The ambitious initiative seeks to harness the power of cutting-edge 4G and 5G technologies, offering secure, lightning-fast, and dependable communication solutions that cater to the crucial operational needs of these industries.

In a joint effort, the companies have announced their commitment to facilitating the implementation of cutting-edge industrial 5G applications, specifically focusing on mission-critical communications. In a significant development, Aramco Digital Company has recently launched with the objective of expediting digital transformation in the Kingdom and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
