Arar, February 11, 2024, Between February 1 and February 9 of this year, Jadidat Arar land port in the northern border region has welcomed a staggering influx of over 94,000 Umrah performers from the Republic of Iraq, transported via a fleet of 1,800 buses.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) recently conducted a comprehensive tour of Jadidat Arar Land Port to document the array of services extended to pilgrims. This endeavor showcased an intricate network of government sectors collaborating seamlessly, alongside volunteers from both governmental and private entities in the northern border region. Services rendered encompassed the provision of prayer areas, a hospitality corner, an emergency medical suite, the arrangement of water coolers, and the provision of comfortable seating facilities.
Numerous Iraqi pilgrims took a moment to laud the exceptional services afforded to them throughout their journey. They particularly praised the efficiency and simplicity of administrative procedures, in addition to expressing gratitude for the various amenities and facilities provided. Their sentiments echoed appreciation towards the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their unwavering support and provision of such essential services.
