Riyadh, October 12, 2023, The General Authority of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, deploring its disregard for international humanitarian law and established norms.
ARCO, in a statement, urged the international community to take immediate action to halt the relentless Israeli bombardment of Gaza, ensuring urgent relief for the affected population and the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance through border crossings.
In an urgent extraordinary meeting, ARCO assessed the severe humanitarian crisis faced by Gaza's civilian population, aggravated by the destruction of vital infrastructure due to relentless Israeli airstrikes. During the meeting, ARCO called for the immediate provision of humanitarian relief, the facilitation of humanitarian aid deliveries through border crossings, and the establishment of secure corridors for relief teams to access Gaza neighborhoods.
Furthermore, the authority expressed its unwavering support for the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), aiming to bolster its humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip and across occupied Palestinian territories.
