As part of the Saudi Noor Volunteer Project, KSrelief performs 423 eye surgeries to fight blindness in Nigeria.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded its Saudi Noor volunteer project in Kano, Nigeria, from December 14 to 21, 2024, focusing on combating blindness and its causes.

Kano, December 25, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully concluded its impactful Saudi Noor volunteer project in Kano, Federal Republic of Nigeria. This initiative, held from December 14 to 21, 2024, aimed at combating blindness and addressing its root causes, has left a significant positive mark on the local community.


The KSrelief medical team, consisting of highly skilled specialists, provided comprehensive eye care to a total of 4,000 patients. As part of the project, 423 specialized eye surgeries were performed, directly improving the vision and quality of life for many individuals. Additionally, the team distributed 1,000 pairs of prescription eyeglasses, helping those in need to regain their sight and continue with their daily activities.


This volunteer initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian efforts, spearheaded by KSrelief, to support healthcare services in underprivileged regions and assist low-income individuals suffering from eye diseases. The project reflects the Kingdom's continued commitment to improving the health and well-being of people worldwide, especially those in vulnerable communities facing preventable vision problems.
