Japan's Nikkei 225 dipped 0.5%, with Hong Kong's Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite losing 0.3% and 0.4%, respectively. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 edged down 0.8%, and South Korea's Kospi shed less than 0.1%. In early Monday trading, the 10-year Treasury yield rose to 4.50%. Benchmark US crude declined to $74.97 a barrel, while Brent crude fell to $79.88 a barrel. The US dollar slightly decreased against the Japanese yen and increased against the euro.
