Conversely, Seoul's Kospi experienced a 0.6% drop, reaching 2,658.78, and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 recorded a marginal 0.1% decrease, closing at 7,730.60. India's Sensex also faced a decline of 0.3%.
In the commodities market, early Tuesday trading saw a decrease in US benchmark crude oil, with a loss of 33 cents, bringing the price to $78.41 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Additionally, Brent crude, the international standard, experienced a decline of 21 cents, settling at $82.59 per barrel.
Currency markets saw a slight shift as well, with the US dollar slipping to 150.51 Japanese yen from 150.53 yen. Similarly, the euro recorded a decrease, falling to $1.0852 from $1.0856.
