Asir Border Guards Stop Attempt to Smuggle 89,355 Narcotic Tablets and 123 Kilograms of Hashish

Abha, June 20, 2024. While conducting ground patrols in the Asir Region, the Border Guards were successful in foiling an attempt to smuggle 123 kilograms of hashish and 89,355 tablets of narcotics. After the preliminary legal proceedings concluded, the authorities took control of the seized substances. Calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern provinces, or 999 in other parts of the Kingdom, is the recommended method for citizens and residents to report any information regarding the smuggling or selling of drugs, according to officials in charge of domestic security. Another option is to contact the General Directorate of Narcotics Control by calling 995 or sending an email to [email protected]. Additionally, the security authorities emphasized that they will handle each and every report with the utmost discretion.
