Riyadh, February 20, 2025 – In a significant move to foster collaboration between key sectors, the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GASGI) and the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing media cooperation to support the geospatial sector. The MoU was signed during the opening day of the highly anticipated Saudi Media Forum, currently underway in Riyadh, and represents a major step toward promoting the use of geospatial data in the media landscape.
This agreement focuses on establishing the official map and geospatial data issued by GASGI as an accredited and reliable source for media professionals across the Kingdom. By leveraging this information, the MoU aims to ensure that media outlets utilize accurate and up-to-date geospatial data in their reporting, thus strengthening the integrity and quality of information shared with the public.
