On January 26, 2025, in Bangkok, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, held an important meeting with the Cambodian delegation attending the ASEAN Khair Ummah Conference. The delegation was led by Ali Musa, Advisor and Special Mission for Islamic Affairs, who expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to supporting Islamic causes, particularly its service to the Two Holy Mosques and the pilgrims who visit them.
During the meeting, Advisor Ali Musa commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its remarkable efforts under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He particularly praised the comprehensive and exceptional care provided to the pilgrims, Umrah performers, and other visitors to the holy sites, emphasizing the meticulous attention given to ensuring their safety, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment. From their arrival in the Kingdom to their departure, the Kingdom’s leadership has ensured that visitors to the holy sites receive the highest level of service and care.
Advisor Musa also took the opportunity to highlight the strong, enduring relationship between Saudi Arabia and Cambodia. He expressed deep gratitude for the Kingdom's historical support of Cambodia and its ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations. Furthermore, he acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s global leadership role in addressing the needs of Muslims worldwide, underscoring the Kingdom’s active involvement in initiatives like the ASEAN Khair Ummah Conference, which seeks to promote unity, cooperation, and solidarity within the Muslim community.
The meeting served as a platform for fostering greater cooperation and understanding between Saudi Arabia and Cambodia, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a leader in promoting the welfare of Muslims globally.
