Audi and Museum of the Future unveil groundbreaking activesphere concept car

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (31st Jan 2023): Audi Middle East and the Museum of the Future have jointly unveiled the Audi activesphere concept car, a revolutionary addition to the sphere family, at the museum. This latest concept model is designed to provide dynamic and personalized driving experiences and represents the pinnacle of innovation from Audi.

One of the key features of the activesphere is its unique transformative capability, allowing it to seamlessly switch from a sleek Sportback into an open "active back." This flexibility caters to diverse modern lifestyle needs, facilitating a smooth transition from city commutes to weekend getaways. In its pickup transformation, the activesphere is equipped for transporting sports gear, offering ample space in the cargo bed for two e-bikes.

The exterior design showcases the car's bold character, with a 4.98-meter length and 22-inch wheels creating a commanding presence. The iconic Singleframe grille, reimagined as a bold design element, adds a futuristic touch, while the front and rear lighting elements transform into versatile animated displays with hundreds of triangular pixel segments.

Inside the activesphere, passengers experience a harmonious space where they can connect with the outside world. The innovative operating concept, known as Audi dimensions, combines the physical and virtual worlds, offering augmented reality for mobility. High-tech headsets provide a view of the real environment and the route while displaying 3D content and interactive elements.

In autonomous mode, the activesphere concept seamlessly conceals the dashboard, steering wheel, and pedals, creating a spacious environment for passengers. The variable ground clearance, adjustable by 40 millimeters, enhances off-road capability and aerodynamics.

The activesphere boasts strong performance, with intelligent electric drive technology providing fast charging times. The 100 kWh battery can charge from 5 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes, offering a range exceeding 600 kilometers.

Majed Al Mansoori, Deputy Executive Director of the Museum of the Future, expressed appreciation for the collaborative unveiling of the activesphere concept car, highlighting its alignment with the UAE's future-forward objectives. Rene Koneberg, Managing Director of Audi Middle East, emphasized the activesphere's role as a blueprint for Audi's upcoming models, showcasing transformative technologies that will redefine the automotive landscape. The activesphere represents a vision for the premium mobility of the future, inviting visitors to experience firsthand the future of mobility.
