Audi Q8 e-tron Debuts in Regional Show, Undergoing Major Alterations for Electromobility Era

  • This March, the Q8 e-tron makes its regional Middle Eastern debut.

  • Greater battery capacity and faster charging.

  • Enhanced design and dynamic driving attributes.

  • The new two-dimensional logo is featured on the Q8 e-tron as its initial model.

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - The new Audi Q8 e-tron, the newest member of the e-tron family, made its regional debut at the Audi Middle East show. The new flagship SUV has undergone major alterations, particularly at the front of the car, giving it a brand-new look.

With the release of the Audi e-tron in 2018, the premium automaker with the four rings ushered in the era of electromobility. The new Audi Q8 e-tron is now building on the success of this electric pioneer, which has been setting standards in the electric luxury-class SUV market since the model's introduction. The top-of-the-line electric SUV is impressive thanks to its improved aerodynamics, optimized drive concept, faster charging speed, larger battery, and longer range.

Along with the aforementioned, the Audi Q8 e-tron will be the first vehicle to sport the new model badge with Audi writing on the B-pillar and the new corporate identity, which features a two-dimensional design of the four rings on the outside. Audi will now accentuate the four rings as a focal point and, upon request, display the car face using the Singleframe light spoiler.

With the addition of the Q8 e-tron, Audi will have more than 20 electric vehicles in its lineup by the year 2026, bringing its total to six. In accordance with its company goal "Vorsprung 2030," Audi will only be introducing completely electric cars at that time on the international market.

The Q8 e-tron is another crucial actor in Audi's electric lineup to spark interest in electromobility for daily usage with its enhanced efficiency and range, which is up to 582 kilometers in the Q8 e-tron version and 600 kilometers in the Sportback version.

"The introduction of the Audi Q8 e-tron marks an exciting time for the brand in the Middle East, which is one of the first global markets to make this model available to customers," said Carsten Bender, managing director of Audi Middle East. It continues in the same vein as our ground-breaking Audi e-tron, but with a new moniker and upgraded comfort. I'm thrilled to continue our company goal, Vorsprung 2030, and deliver the top-of-the-line model in our lineup of electric SUVs to customers in the area with the Audi Q8 e-tron.

new business identity, new name, and new face

Audi clearly communicates through its name that the Q8 e-tron is the flagship model within its lineup of electric SUVs and crossovers. At first appearance, the Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron are clearly fully electric vehicles. This is made possible by the updated front and rear designs, which systematically advance Audi's electric design language and feature the distinctive singleframe mask, inverted grille, and blade above the revamped rear diffuser.

A luxurious interior

From the inside, the Q8 e-tron offers a wealth of comfort amenities, including four-zone automatic climate control and a number of optional extras like the air quality package, massaging seats, contour seats, and an ambient light package that add to the opulent atmosphere of this top-of-the-line vehicle. Additionally, a glass panorama roof is an optional feature that heightens the interior's feeling of space and lightness.

Even in hot outdoor temperatures, comfortable seating is made possible by three stages of ventilation. The leather of the basic seats, which is finely perforated, is available for this. All interiors have optional ornamental inlays made of aluminum or porous wood veneers like grainy ash and sycamore. Light brown walnut wood and a sustainable technical substance created from recycled PET bottles are recent additions. a choice of two drivetrains

There are two electric all-wheel-drive drivetrain options available. Which are:

With ranges of up to 582 and 600 kilometers, respectively, the Q8 55 e-tron and Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron are propelled by two motors that provide 300 kW in boost mode and 664 Nm of torque. With a range of up to 513 kilometers, the top-of-the-line Audi SQ8 Sportback e-tron is propelled by three motors that provide 370 kW in boost mode and 973 Nm of torque.

Greater battery capacity and faster charging

The Q8 55 e-tron's maximum charging performance can reach 170 kW at a fast-charging station. During a 31-minute charging break, the large battery may be charged from 10 to 80 percent; under ideal circumstances, this translates to a range of up to 420 kilometers. The Audi Q8 e-tron charges at up to 11 kW, with Audi offering an optional AC charging performance of up to 22 kW at an AC charging station or wall box.

The Plug & Charge feature is a standard feature on the Audi Q8 e-tron.

Production

Audi prioritizes sustainability in all aspects of development, which is evident throughout the whole value chain. The Q8 e-tron will be produced at the first high-volume, carbon-neutral factory in the premium class by Audi, which aspires to be carbon neutral by 2025 and reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. As part of the Vorsprung 2030 plan, Audi works with important stakeholders to advance infrastructure projects whenever possible and to help make the case for EV charging in the area.

In the second half of 2023, the Audi Q8 e-tron will be offered in showrooms all throughout the Middle East. Customers who want to learn more about the new Audi Q8 e-tron can do so by visiting www.audi-me.com/Q8e-tron or their nearby dealer.
