Authority readies for Friday prayers at Prophet's Mosque, ensuring services

Ahmed Saleh

Madinah, February 8, 2024 The overseeing body for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is diligently ensuring the provision of services ahead of the Friday prayers at the Prophet's Mosque scheduled for tomorrow. Efforts are underway to prepare guidance, raise awareness, and implement field services aimed at facilitating worshippers' prayers within a safe and healthy environment.

Various departments and committees are actively engaged in taking preemptive measures to facilitate this endeavor. They are focused on providing carpeting and cleaning services in designated prayer areas within the mosque, as well as in the courtyards and rooftops.

Among the essential services being prioritized by the overseeing authority is the Zamzam water program. This initiative entails the placement of water containers at entrances and along internal corridors of the mosque, ensuring round-the-clock availability. A substantial quantity of 10,000 containers of Zamzam water has been earmarked for distribution in both the men's and women's sections. Additionally, as part of a daily program, the authority is supplying single-use containers, with hundreds of male and female workers dedicated to this task.
