The event was organized by the General Directorate of Civil Defense to award volunteers participating in its operations during the 1445 AH Hajj season.
The major general, Dr. Al-Faraj, praised the volunteers, thanking them and showing appreciation for being part of activities important to the goals of attaining the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
The volunteers helped in giving first aid, accompanying the pilgrims, evacuation/rescue operations, and risk management throughout the Hajj season.
In the presence of the Acting Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Dr. Hammoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj, the General Directorate of Civil Defense organized an honoring ceremony at the King Abdulaziz Historical Hall in Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, on June 20, 2024, for its volunteers who participated in its operation during the 1445 AH Hajj season. We held the ceremony to honor those individuals who supported the organization during that period.During the ceremony, Major General Dr. Al-Faraj expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the volunteers for their contributions to the fulfillment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals through voluntary labor during the Hajj season of this year. The volunteers provided first aid, escorted pilgrims and visitors to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, and assisted with evacuation, rescue, and risk management. In addition, they provided assistance with risk management.
