Bahri lays cornerstone for logistics center at Jeddah Islamic Port

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has laid the cornerstone for the establishment of a logistics center at Jeddah Islamic Port in the presence of H.E. Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the Saudi Ports Authority. The Bahri Logistics Center, covering an area of 95,436 square meters, will be managed by Bahri Logistics and offer various storage options, handling services, and value-added services. The facility aims to enhance logistics capabilities and the supply chain in Saudi Arabia, attracting multinational companies to establish their logistics hubs.

The project is aligned with the National Transportation and Logistics Strategy (NTLS) and reflects Mawani's commitment to strengthening the maritime transport and logistics sector in Saudi Arabia. Expected to be operational in the first half of 2025, the Bahri Logistics Center will have over 80,000 pallet positions, 40,000 shelving units, and an annual throughput exceeding 900,000 pallets. The facility will handle reefer, insulated, and dry containers, offering services such as container maintenance, repair, and cleaning, bonded storage, and haulage. The establishment of the logistics center is expected to contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia's role as a global logistics hub.
