Dhaka, February 01, 2024, President Mohammed Shahabuddin of the People's Republic of Bangladesh hosted Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Alsheikh, the Speaker of the Shura Council, during an official visit to Bangladesh. The meeting took place at the presidential headquarters in Dhaka, the capital city.
During their discussions, President Shahabuddin lauded the exceptional efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. He also acknowledged Saudi Arabia's pivotal role as a leading nation in the Islamic world and the global community.
In response, Dr. Al-Alsheikh expressed appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized that his visit aimed to reinforce the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh. Additionally, he sought to foster closer ties between the Shura Council and the Parliament of Bangladesh.
The meeting delved into a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and explored avenues to enhance cooperation between the two countries. Various topics of mutual interest were discussed, reflecting the shared commitment to strengthening ties and collaboration on multiple fronts.
