Riyadh, February 7, 2024, The Bangladeshi Minister of Home Affairs, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, paid a visit to the pavilion of the Saudi Ministry of Interior, which is actively participating in the prestigious World Defense Show 2024 held in Riyadh from February 4th to 8th. This significant event enjoys the patronage of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
During his tour, Minister Kamal familiarized himself with the strategic initiatives aimed at fortifying the internal security apparatus and integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) applications and digital solutions within the Bangladeshi Ministry of Interior. Discussions also encompassed the ministry's robust capabilities in ensuring security and its innovative endeavors in cultivating secure urban environments, fortifying borders, managing crises and disasters, enhancing field operations, environmental conservation, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and advancing the localization of military industries.
The participation of the Ministry of Interior in this globally recognized show, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), underscores the unwavering support and special attention accorded to the military and security sectors in the Kingdom. Such efforts, guided by the visionary leadership, aim to realize the ambitious vision of strengthening the Kingdom’s strategic autonomy and enhancing its national military industrial capabilities. The event, boasting the participation of over 750 exhibitors, representing 45 countries, and welcoming 115 delegations, serves as a testament to the Kingdom's commitment to advancing its defense and security sectors on the global stage.
