The Continental GT Mulliner Convertible, the world's premier grand tourer, is the result of Mulliner going above and beyond the industry-leading craftsmanship so closely associated with Bentley. It redefines the height of roof-down automotive luxury.
Customers who seek an even greater concentration on attractive features will be drawn to the new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible. Bentley Mulliner introduces a striking new Double Diamond front grille that commands attention between the precision-crafted, cut-crystal-inspired headlamps. The grille is further complimented by bespoke Mulliner-branded side vents that carry the distinctive silver-on-black diamond theme.
The new Double Diamond design was influenced by Bentley's proprietary Diamond-in-Diamond interior quilting design idea, which covers the tonneau cover for the first time as well as the four seats, door casings, and rear quarters. To highlight the thread against the quilting, the diamond-in-diamond interior quilting has been specifically designed to contain contrast stitching in two complementary colors. This quilting is applied across the car's interior using almost 400,000 stitches, with each diamond containing precisely 712 stitches that are all properly aligned to point to the center of the diamond it forms. It took 18 months to develop the embroidery technique alone in order to deliver this method.
New 22" 10-spoke painted and polished wheels with floating, self-leveling wheel emblems that remain upright as the wheel turns complete the elegant and muscular look of the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible.
There are eight unique three-color combinations available for the superbly handcrafted interior of the Continental GT Convertible. Eight color options are defined by a new color split by Mulliner, which also adds a third accent color to the interior in the shape of a recognizable design line. The hand-stitched hides are adorned with distinctive embroidery with the Mulliner brand.
In order to bring new, contemporary, and unique features, Bentley Mulliner has merged historic and contemporary coachbuilding techniques. The center console has been given a contrast diamond milled technical finish, and it is capped with a brand-new, limited-edition Breitling watch in brushed silver that is placed within a quartet of chrome bullseyes to create spectacular interior jewelry. The precision-rendered gauges of the LED-display driver's instrument panel use the same brushed finish and Mulliner logo, continuing the same motif from the physical to the digital realm.
The new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible has mood lighting with seven distinct themes, illuminated tread plates from Mulliner, and LED welcome lamps that project the iconic Bentley wings from the door mirrors to the ground.
The top-of-the-line Naim for Bentley audio system is offered for the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible. The cutting-edge system has 18 speakers, two active bass transducers, a 2,200-watt, 20-channel amplifier, and eight active bass DSP sound modes.
Customers of the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible will receive a leather key in an opulent, handcrafted presentation box bearing the Mulliner name that matches the car's three-color interior. The two keys are offered in cases with contrast stitching and similar color matching.
Bentley's V8 and W12 engines will be offered for the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible. When powered by Bentley's 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged W12, the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible can reach a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h) and accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds). The 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 of the newest generation has a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h) and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds).
