Bentley Motors has announced that its extensive network of 17 retail locations in the Middle East, Africa, and India (MEAI) has achieved carbon-neutral certification, a recognition validated by the Carbon Trust. This accomplishment aligns with Bentley's overarching commitment to sustainability, a central pillar of its Beyond100 strategy introduced in 2020. As part of this strategy, Bentley aims for all of its global retailers to attain carbon-neutral status by 2025.
Throughout 2022, the 17 retailers across the MEAI region collaborated closely with the Carbon Trust to secure carbon-neutral PAS 2060 status. Now, these individual dealerships are embarking on the implementation of their carbon reduction plans, which will contribute to their re-certification process in 2023.
Richard Leopold, Regional Director for the Middle East and UK, expressed pride in Bentley's achievement as the first automotive company in the MEAI region to attain this milestone with the Carbon Trust. He emphasized the importance of sustainability to Bentley's customers and the company's dedication to becoming entirely carbon-neutral by 2030. Leopold highlighted that the carbon-neutral status extended to Bentley's retail network plays a crucial role in their Beyond100 journey, emphasizing Bentley's commitment to advancing sustainable luxury mobility while providing an exceptional customer experience.
The introduction of the Flying Spur Hybrid has been well-received in the MEAI region, combining Bentley's hallmark luxury and performance with sustainable mobility solutions, further solidifying the company's commitment to a more sustainable future.
