The first-ever nine-ball World Pool Championship was successfully hosted by Saudi Arabia in Jeddah on June 10, 2024.
The championship was very helpful for Saudi billiards players, as they faced good players from around the world; it was a great chance to get exposure practising more.
The event was organized by the World Nineball Tour and the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation, with oversight from the Ministry of Sport, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop a strong sports sector in the country.
Nasser Al-Shammari, President of the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation, lauded Saudi Arabia for its great achievement in hosting the first-ever nine-ball World Pool Championship in Jeddah. The event was held on June 10, 2024. In Jeddah, this running Championship proved to be a fine occasion for Saudi billiards players to compete against world-class players from all parts of the globe.
The competitions did assist the Saudi players in obtaining great experience and connecting them with great opponents. The World Nineball Tour and the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation held the championship, which ran between June 3rd to June 8th in the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium. He expressed his gratitude to the government for the substantial support it has provided to the sports industry. He also lauded the devoted efforts of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, as well as Prince Fahad bin Jalawi Al Saud, Vice President of the committee.
