"Black Hat" cybersecurity event starts tomorrow in Riyadh, organized by SAFCSP

Riyadh, November 13, 2023, The second edition of the rapidly growing cybersecurity event, "Black Hat," kicks off tomorrow with the theme "Infosec on the Edge." Organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming & Drones (SAFCSP) in collaboration with "Tahaluf," the event will be held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (RFECC) from November 14 to 16, 2023.


Featuring over 250 sessions across various stages, the event will delve into topics such as “Software as the New Age of Warfare,” “Get Hacked,” “The Security Imperative, Staying Resilient in a Digital Society,” and “Ransomware Response.” Distinguished cybersecurity experts, including Latha Maripuri from Uber, Vitaly Gudanets from Netflix, and Cynthia Kaiser from the FBI, will participate.


Leading international and local companies, including IBM, Cisco, Huawei, and Trend Micro, will also be part of the event. The activity zone offers prizes exceeding SAR1,000,000 for competitions like Capture the Flag and the Bug Bounty Cup.


Interactive experiences in Medical Hacking and Smart Contract Hacking aim to raise awareness about hacking risks. Attendees can also participate in hands-on activities like lockpicking, smart city simulation, drone hacking, and chip-off village. The Cyber Escape Room provides a platform for solving cyber puzzles within a limited timeframe.


Eng. Mohammed Alshamrani, Cybersecurity Consultant and General Supervisor of Cybersecurity at SAFCSP, emphasized the event's importance amid industry developments. The Black Hat app, available on the App Store and Google Play, facilitates a seamless experience for attendees to navigate the agenda, sessions, speakers, and exhibitors.
