The BMW XM was introduced to the Middle Eastern market for the very first time by BMW Group Middle East, in collaboration with the region's official importers of BMW vehicles. The BMW XM is a new interpretation of the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) that was formed out of the ground-breaking marriage of the high-performance BMW M and progressive plug-in hybrid technology. It was unveiled during an exciting event in Dubai that was full of electrifying energy. The all-new BMW XM is the latest offering from the automobile group in commemoration of BMW M's 50th anniversary. It is the first BMW M original since the BMW M1, and it has the newly developed M HYBRID driving system, an extravagant design, and a progressive luxury ambience. The 4WD Sand mode that comes standard on the BMW XM was developed expressly for the purpose of navigating terrain both on and off the road, making it an ideal choice for the terrain and driving conditions that are typical in the Gulf and the Middle East. Dr. Hamid Haqparwar, Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East, issued the following statement in response to the launch: "We are happy to launch the all-new BMW XM here in the area. With its brand-new M xDrive system, this vehicle is practically tailor-made for the Middle East, since it is perfectly suited to handle the many terrains that can be found there. Our customers have been asking for a high-end M Sports Activity Vehicle, so we've decided to provide one for them in the form of the BMW XM. Since we made the announcement about the XM a year ago, there has been an enormous amount of interest in the region, and we anticipate that the model will have a great deal of success in the Middle East. We are certain that the M experience will be made accessible to new target groups in the high-performance market thanks to the introduction of the BMW XM. The cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology is the foundation for the M Hybrid drive system that is included in the BMW XM. This system is responsible for the vehicle's overall output of 653 horsepower and is driven by a high-revving V8 engine. The engine has a displacement of 4.4 liters, and it is paired with an electric motor that is incorporated into the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. Together, these components produce a maximum total torque of 800 Nm.
The BMW XM can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.3 seconds, and it does it to the accompaniment of an energizing soundtrack that is intensified by hexagonal dual tailpipes that are arranged one above the other for the first time on a BMW M vehicle. The BMW IconicSounds Electric is a one-of-a-kind system that was developed in conjunction with the legendary Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer. Its purpose is to generate an appropriate backing track for the power delivery of an electric motor.
The sophisticated management of the interaction between the engine and the motor provides a well-resolved performance experience that is worthy of the M badge in any kind of driving scenario. The M Hybrid button located on the center console of the BMW XM allows the driver to select one of three different operating modes, including an electric setting that enables the vehicle to travel with zero emissions in its immediate environment at speeds of up to 140 kilometers per hour and for a distance of up to 88 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. A 14.9-inch control display that supports touch input is incorporated into the one-piece BMW curved display. This display also provides customers with information in a seamless manner, putting a world of connectivity at their fingertips. The 23-inch light alloy wheels and an exclusive accent band in Night Gold highlight the XM's very distinctive shape while the classic front pays homage to BMW's illustrious past with the "Iconic Glow" lit kidney grille. In addition, the XM's interior features an individual accent band in Night Gold. The rear of the BMW XM is transformed into an elite M Lounge thanks to the interior's standard kit, which includes M multifunction seats and knee pads. The ample feeling of space and opulent design also contribute to this transformation.
