RIYADH, 04 Feb. 2024 – Boeing Saudi Arabia and Bahri Logistics, a subsidiary of Bahri specializing in logistics and transportation, have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at exploring collaborative opportunities in supply chain and distribution within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The partnership intends to strengthen Boeing's supply chain operations in the Kingdom while enhancing the support services for defense-related products provided by Bahri Logistics. It will involve the exploration of various areas such as freight forwarding, warehousing, inventory management, and performance-based logistics consulting. Leveraging Bahri Logistics' established capabilities and supply networks in Saudi Arabia, the collaboration aims to optimize Boeing's supply chain activities and contribute to the growth of the defense sector in the country.
Eng. Soror Basalom, President of Bahri Integrated Logistics, expressed pride in the collaboration with Boeing Saudi Arabia and emphasized Bahri Logistics' commitment to delivering exceptional services tailored to the needs of Boeing. He highlighted the company's dedication to enhancing efficiency and scalability within Boeing's supply chain operations while supporting the advancement of the defense industry in Saudi Arabia.
Asaad Aljomoai, President of Boeing Saudi Arabia, underscored the strategic importance of Saudi Arabia as a market for Boeing and emphasized the company's investment in expanding its presence and supply chain capabilities to better serve its customers in the Kingdom. Aljomoai emphasized the collaborative efforts with Bahri Logistics as a means to contribute to the growth of the Kingdom's defense capabilities and drive expansion in the aerospace sector, particularly through the utilization of the Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ).
