Jazan, August 19, 2023, In a recent development, Border Guard patrols operating in Al-Ardah Governorate, located in the Jazan Region, have successfully foiled an audacious attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of khat. The vigilant efforts of the Border Guard personnel led to the interception of a staggering 111 kilograms of the illicit substance. Following the completion of the required legal procedures, the authorities have taken possession of the confiscated items.
In a pressing call to action, security authorities in the Kingdom are urging all citizens and residents to swiftly report any pertinent information pertaining to the illicit activities of drug smuggling and trafficking. Residents are urged to dial 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region. In the event of emergencies occurring in other regions of the kingdom, individuals are advised to dial 999. In addition, individuals are encouraged to make contact with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control by dialing 995 or by sending an email to [email protected].
