Riyadh, August 23, 2023, In a recent statement, Colonel Misfer Al-Quraini, the Border Guard Spokesman, revealed that diligent land patrols in several regions of Saudi Arabia have successfully thwarted multiple smuggling attempts. These regions include Najran, Jazan, Asir, Tabuk, and the Eastern Region. The efforts of the border guards have resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit substances. Specifically, the authorities have confiscated a staggering 36.481 tons of khat, 1.472 tons of hashish, and 29,572 narcotic tablets. These impressive interceptions serve as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the border guards to safeguarding the nation's borders and preventing the illegal flow of drugs into the country. According to the individual, the suspects have been apprehended and subsequently handed over, along with the confiscated items, to the appropriate authorities.
