Riyadh, October 04, 2023, The Border Guards in several regions of Saudi Arabia have successfully thwarted multiple smuggling attempts, according to Colonel Misfer Al-Quraini, the Spokesman for the Border Guards. These vigilant patrols intercepted and confiscated a significant haul, which included 29 tons of khat, 421 kilograms of hashish, and 108,422 medical regulation-controlled pills. The individuals involved in these smuggling operations will face legal consequences, and the seized contraband has been handed over to the appropriate authorities.
To combat drug smuggling further, security authorities are urging the public to report any information related to drug trafficking or sales. They can do so by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom. Additionally, individuals can contact the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995 or via email at [email protected]. All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the fight against drug-related offenses in the country.
