Border Guards in Madinah Rescue Child from Drowning While Swimming


 Border Guard search and rescue teams in Yanbu, Madinah region, rescued a child from drowning, providing first aid and transporting him to a hospital where he is now in stable condition.


The General Directorate of Border Guard urges adherence to maritime safety guidelines, vigilant supervision of children in swimming areas, and prompt reporting of emergencies.


For emergencies, the public should call 911 in Makkah and Eastern regions or 994 in the rest of the Kingdom.


Madinah, August 01, 2024 – In a swift and successful response, search and rescue teams from the Border Guard in Yanbu, located in the Madinah region, have performed a heroic rescue of a child who was found drowning while swimming. The dedicated teams promptly administered first aid to the young swimmer before transporting him to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the child’s condition has stabilized, and he is reported to be recovering well.


The General Directorate of Border Guard emphasizes the importance of following maritime safety guidelines and regulations to prevent such incidents. They strongly advise the public to maintain vigilant supervision of children while they are swimming, ensuring that they are only in designated safe areas. In the event of an emergency, the public is urged to contact emergency services by dialing 911 in the Makkah and Eastern regions, or 994 in other parts of the Kingdom.
