Bread Distribution for Vulnerable Communities: KSrelief distributed 175,000 bags of bread between October 24-30, 2024, benefiting 62,500 individuals across 12,500 families in northern Lebanon, including Syrian, Palestinian, and host community families.

Beirut, December 15, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues its dedicated efforts to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities in Lebanon through the ongoing fourth phase of the Al-Amal Charity Bakery Project. This initiative, which operates in the Akkar Governorate and Miniyeh District in northern Lebanon, is designed to provide essential food assistance to Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as to host community families in the region.

Between October 24 and 30, 2024, KSrelief successfully distributed 175,000 bags of freshly baked bread to families in need, directly benefiting 62,500 individuals across 12,500 households. This food aid, which is critical for sustaining families in one of Lebanon’s most economically disadvantaged areas, aims to address the growing challenges faced by refugees and local populations who have been severely impacted by the ongoing crises in the region.

The Al-Amal Charity Bakery Project is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to support refugees and displaced communities worldwide. This project not only provides much-needed food security but also helps promote local resilience by strengthening the capacity of community organizations to serve their populations in a sustainable manner. The bread distribution initiative highlights KSrelief’s commitment to addressing the basic needs of vulnerable populations in Lebanon, where the economic and social pressures are exacerbated by the ongoing refugee crisis.

This humanitarian project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s longstanding tradition of providing relief and assistance to those in need across the globe. KSrelief’s continuous support in Lebanon is a testament to the Kingdom’s leadership in international humanitarian aid, working closely with local and international partners to improve the living conditions of displaced people and host communities alike. The Center’s efforts in northern Lebanon reflect its broader mission to ensure that refugees and marginalized groups receive essential support in their time of need, with a focus on promoting dignity, self-reliance, and long-term sustainability.

By targeting food security in this critical region, KSrelief plays a pivotal role in alleviating hardship and improving the quality of life for displaced and marginalized populations in Lebanon. Through this initiative and others like it, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to make a significant impact on global humanitarian efforts, fulfilling its commitment to international solidarity and human welfare.
