Riyadh, December 9, 2024 – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Riyadh today for an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Prime Minister and his delegation were warmly received at King Khalid International Airport by an esteemed group of Saudi officials, underscoring the importance of the visit and the strong diplomatic ties between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival, Prime Minister Starmer was greeted by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, who led the welcoming delegation. Also present were Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, who is accompanying the Prime Minister’s visit, and Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf.
Additionally, the delegation included several key officials, such as Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Saudi Arabia, Neil Crompton, and Major General Mansour bin Nasser Al-Otaibi, Acting Director of the Riyadh Region Police, along with Fahad Al-Suhail, Deputy Chief of Royal Protocol. The presence of such senior officials highlighted the significance of the visit, which is expected to further deepen the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
