Jeddah, November 08, 2023, On the fringes of the international conference on "Women in Islam: Status and Empowerment," Burkina Faso's expatriates abroad, Olivia Rwamba, and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, met on Tuesday. The two parties talked about their bilateral ties and examined the government of Burkina Faso's initiatives to fight terrorism, create security and stability, and promote national development. Burkina Faso's efforts to promote women's and youth issues have been commended by the Secretary-General, who also noted the country's contributions to bolstering united Islamic action.
