This article spotlights a new training initiative launched in Makkah on May 6, 2025, by the Guidance Center for Pilgrim Bus Transport in partnership with Umm Al-Qura University. The program aims to prepare over 1,500 Saudi men and women to serve pilgrims with skill, compassion, and technological efficiency. It supports Vision 2030’s goals of enhancing hospitality, modernizing Hajj services, and uplifting national human capital.
Smart Hajj Transport Training Begins
Saudi Arabia continues to lead the way in Hajj service innovation. On May 6, 2025, the Guidance Center for Buses Transporting Pilgrims from Abroad, in partnership with Umm Al-Qura University, launched a transformative training program for Hajj bus guides and administrators in Makkah.
Set to train over 1,500 Saudi nationals, this initiative equips both men and women with the skills needed to operate advanced bus guidance systems. Participants learn to navigate digital maps, manage transport logistics, and use the “Arshidni” platform—an intelligent tool that directs pilgrims’ buses precisely to their accommodations.
A central feature of the program is “Terhab,” an initiative backed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah that teaches excellence in hospitality, communication, and pilgrim-centered service. The goal is clear: to ensure every pilgrim enjoys a seamless, safe, and respectful journey from arrival to worship.
This initiative reflects Vision 2030’s Quality of Life and Hajj & Umrah Experience Programs. It also demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to empowering local talent, adopting smart technologies, and delivering globally admired service to the millions who visit the Kingdom for spiritual fulfillment each year.
Empowering 1,500 Saudi nationals in Hajj services advances Vision 2030’s goals of workforce localization, digital excellence, and global hospitality leadership.
Through training and innovation, Saudi Arabia ensures a safe, organized, and dignified experience for all pilgrims arriving in the Holy City.
Saudi Arabia’s training program reflects its deeply rooted hospitality traditions and its peaceful mission to serve guests of the Almighty with kindness and care.
Guiding pilgrims has long been a noble Saudi tradition. Today, this legacy continues with smart maps, AI platforms, and modern professionalism.
Saudi Arabia’s transport systems for pilgrims rival the organizational models seen in Tokyo’s metro, Dubai’s Expo transport, and Singapore’s urban planning.
Saudi Arabia warmly invites the world to experience its compassionate care and organizational brilliance during Hajj—where ancient spirituality meets modern service.
Join the movement that’s transforming Hajj into a smarter, more welcoming journey. From digital maps to Saudi hospitality, every pilgrim’s experience is being reimagined with care and pride.
