Riyadh, October 31, 2023, The Cabinet session in Riyadh, chaired by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, commenced with an overview of his recent phone call with the President of the United States, discussing the Kingdom's stance on Gaza developments. Diplomatic efforts were reviewed to encourage global responsibility in ending military actions in Gaza, providing humanitarian aid, and addressing the Palestinian people's aspirations.
Furthermore, the Cabinet discussed the progress of Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) talks in Jeddah, facilitated by Saudi Arabia and the U.S. in collaboration with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the African Union, aiming for Sudan's security and stability.
The Cabinet acknowledged recent events and economic activities, highlighting the success of the 7th Future Investment Initiative (FII) and the initiation of investments exceeding $17 billion.
Several decisions were issued during the session, including the approval of draft guiding models for memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the logistics and postal sectors, authorization for the minister of investment to sign an agreement with Mauritania, authorization to discuss and sign draft agreements and MoUs with Qatar, approval of a tripartite agreement involving UNESCO, the renewal of the Saudi Red Sea Authority's bylaws, and the review of various other agenda items.
