The fish market, also known as "Al-Bankala," is conveniently located near the Jeddah Islamic Port and the bustling markets of Jeddah, making it a hotspot for seafood aficionados. The market is a popular tourist destination because of the ease with which visitors may shop for and prepare some of the most popular foods in the area.
On a monthly basis, the market can sell up to 2,600 metric tons of fish, both domestically caught and imported. It creates 1,500 new positions for young Saudis.
