Riyadh, January 26, 2024,The Transport General Authority (TGA) has declared the implementation of a standardized uniform for drivers engaged in various bus transport activities, encompassing specialized transport, bus rentals, guidance services, educational transport, and international transport. This directive, effective from April 27, 2024, is mandated as a prerequisite for individuals practicing these activities in alignment with the regulations governing the bus transport sector.
The Authority elucidated that the adoption of a uniform driver attire is a strategic move aimed at fortifying its developmental initiatives, striving to elevate the quality of services within the bus transport sector. This initiative is anticipated to enhance the overall appearance and create a positive impression of these essential services, establishing a direct link with all segments of society.
Furthermore, the TGA emphasized that this directive is part of a comprehensive and ongoing process of updates and improvements applied to bus transport and passenger transport services. These enhancements encompass technical specifications for buses, stipulations regarding the operational lifespan of these vehicles, the introduction of electronic payment methods for service beneficiaries, and other requisites outlined in the regulations.
